Operations plan, why it is important & what to include?

This area should detail two things- a) Key day to day works of the company and b) Key milestones that the company aims to achieve in coming years.

  • Key Operational Process: This section should profile the day-to-day processes done by the company to serve the customers like sales & marketing, purchasing, finance, human resources, product development, customer service etc.
  • Milestones: Here, the details about the key milestones that the company is going to achieve as it grows and the estimated time to accomplish them should be highlighted. Some sample milestones include new products and services introductions, store opening date, revenue milestones, key partnership executed, key financial events etc.
